ATTENTION ALL REGION 4 HYBRIDIZERS!
The Hudson Adirondack Daylily Society is hosting the 2010 Regional convention and garden tour on July 16-18, in Albany NY. The event
is taking shape nicely with a unique auction planned for Friday evening titled
'Focus on Four.' For this auction, we plan to feature
ONLY plants hybridized AND grown in Region 4. This is a super way to promote our own hybridizers and get plants growing throughout the
region. Press
We would love you to donate one, two, or more of your recent introductions for the auction. Registration date should be between 2000
and 2010. As an incentive, Region 4 and HADS are providing $40 to each of the first 25 donors. Payment will be made at the convention,
or if you cannot attend, by mail after the meeting.
In addition, we would like a good digital image of each plant. We will produce a Power Point presentation to be shown during Social
Hour on Friday and simultaneously with the auction. Plants always sell better with a good picture. The Friday auction will be limited
to 50-75 plants, and we will insure that each donor is well represented. Any extra plants will be auctioned on Saturday evening in the
regular auction.
Plants may be delivered at the time of the convention, potted or bare root, but
NO Postcard Promises. The plant must be present at the
auction. Frank Almquist is coordinating the auctions and would like to have the cultivar information and images no later than June 1,
2010, but earlier is better!
