AHS Region 4 Service Award Winners

A limited number of Regional Service Awards may be given annually by the American Daylily Society (ADS) Board of Directors to ADS members who have performed outstanding service at the regional level. This award is separate from the Region 4 Service Award given at the club/local level.

In 1974, the ADS Board established this award for outstanding service to ADS at the regional level. Currently serving board members are not eligible. Only one ADS Regional Service Award may be awarded per region per year; a dual award for two members of the same family counts as one award.

Nominations may come from any ADS member in the nominee’s region. Nominations are sent to the ADS Awards & Honors Chair by September 1 and must include a summary of the nominee’s service. The ADS Board votes by secret ballot at the annual fall board meeting, and the award is presented at the following ADS National Convention.

  2025 AHS Regional Service Award: Russ Allen at the Regional Level

  The 2025 AHS Service Award winners were announced at the ADS National Convention in the July 2025 in Seattle, WA. The winner for Region 4 was Russ Allen from Guilford, CT. Below is the nomination letter: Region 4 would like to recognize the outstanding contributions of former Region 4 Director, Russ Allen, to both the American Hemerocallis Society (AHS) and to AHS Region 4.
