Region 4 Service Award – Club Level

First awarded in 2009, the Region 4 Service Award recognizes individuals who provide outstanding service to the daylily community at the club or local level. It is distinct from the ADS Regional Service Award, which honors service at the regional level.

Award Description

The Region 4 Service Award is presented for sustained service to one’s local daylily community. Service should include a variety of activities over multiple years (not just one or two seasons) and may include leadership roles, event organization, education, outreach, and other significant contributions to a Region 4 club.

Club presidents may nominate an individual (or an individual and partner) they consider worthy. Final selection is made by a committee composed of the Regional Director, Regional President (RP), Regional Publicity Director (RPD), and immediate past RP. Committee members and previous recipients are not eligible.

Nominations (one-page letters describing the nominee’s service) are due to the RP by December 31. The award is presented at the following Region 4 summer meeting.
